
Dottie Donnelly is a seasoned Chief Human Resources Officer, executive advisor, and business strategist with more than 30 years of experience helping organizations grow, transform, and perform at their highest potential. Throughout her career, she has partnered with CEOs, executive leadership teams, and Boards of Directors to solve complex business challenges, align leadership, strengthen culture, and build organizations positioned for long-term success.
Her experience spans Fortune 50-100 companies, publicly traded organizations, and private equity-backed businesses, giving her a unique perspective on navigating growth, organizational change, mergers and acquisitions, executive leadership, and workforce transformation. Dottie is known for combining strategic vision with practical execution, helping organizations move through complexity with confidence while building healthier, higher-performing businesses.
As Chief Human Resources Officer for Cambrex Corporation, Dottie played a pivotal role in preparing the organization for long-term growth. She built the company's global HR and communications infrastructure, partnered closely with the CEO and Board of Directors on executive leadership and compensation strategy, and led the people strategy through the company's $2.4 billion acquisition and successful transition from a publicly traded company to private equity ownership.
Previously, as Chief Human Resources Officer at Cantel Medical, she led enterprise-wide culture transformation, executive communications, leadership development, and executive compensation initiatives that supported significant business growth. Earlier in her career, Dottie held senior leadership roles with Johnson & Johnson, Merck, Bristol-Myers Squibb, and Hilton Worldwide, where she led global organizational transformation efforts, large-scale integration initiatives, talent strategy, and leadership development programs impacting thousands of employees worldwide.
Beyond her executive leadership experience, Dottie is passionate about developing leaders and building organizations where people and performance thrive together. She has served as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University School of Business and has been a featured speaker for Cornell University, Columbia University, The Conference Board, i4CP, and BioNTX Women Driving Innovation.
Dottie holds a Master of Science in Organization Development & Applied Behavioral Science from American University and completed Harvard University's Executive Leadership Program. She is a Six Sigma Green Belt and holds certifications in Hogan Assessments, MBTI, Emotional Competence Inventory (ECI), and Drexler/Sibbett Team Performance.
